My stay at Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens was a mix of highs and lows. The location is undoubtedly excellent, just steps away from the city center and overlooking the beautiful treasury gardens, which is a big plus. However, I found the rooms to be quite small, and the service at the restaurant, particularly during breakfast, left much to be desired. I'm not likely to return due to these issues.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small and poorly laid out with little space to unpack. I noticed dirty carpets and a lack of navigation room, making it feel cramped. The bathroom was particularly tight, which was quite uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
While the staff at the front desk were polite and helpful, dining service was disappointing. The waitstaff seemed untrained, resulting in misunderstandings about the menu. I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple breakfast without any follow-up.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is a major highlight, conveniently situated at the edge of Melbourne’s CBD. I enjoyed the short walks to nearby attractions, including Collins Street and the MCG. It was easy to explore the area and find various cafes and shops close by.
Dining
5.0
Dining at Lime Café Bar was average at best. The breakfast options were quite basic, and the ambiance wasn't particularly inviting. I was disappointed with the service, as my meal was delayed significantly, and the staff appeared apathetic to our needs.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel did have some basic facilities, such as an electric kettle and an ironing board, but overall, my experience was lacking considering the brand's reputation. The lifts were small and cramped, adding to my frustrations.

My stay at the Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens was generally pleasant, thanks to the spacious and newly renovated rooms with beautiful garden views. However, I did find the bathrooms to be a bit small. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the city, but the dining options could use more variety. Overall, it was a good value for a short stay. 🌳😊

Rooms

I was impressed with our room, featuring two queen-size beds and a lovely view of the Treasury Gardens. The space was modern, well-kept, and quite comfortable for all three of us.
Service
9.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, addressing our concerns promptly and even delivering a tray of fruit as a gesture of goodwill.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s position near the beautiful gardens and just a short walk from the center of the CBD made it convenient for sightseeing. Plus, being close to the free Circle Tram was a bonus!
Dining
7.0
While I enjoyed the dinner at the hotel, I found the menu options limited. Breakfast did offer a decent selection, but it could have featured more fresh choices.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were adequate, but I noticed the lobby was small. On the positive side, the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms were standout features.

I stayed here hoping for a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, my visit was disappointing. The location is convenient, being close to the Treasury and sporting venues, though the hotel's overall condition falls short of expectations.

Rooms
5.0
The room was dark and worn, with stained carpeting and outdated decor. The bed was hard and the bathroom was quite cramped.
Service
6.0
Staff were friendly and helpful, but I found the reception unimpressive. They did assist with my parking needs though.
Location
8.0
Location is great, close to the Free City Circle Tram and easy access to restaurants. It's perfect for events at the MCG and tennis center.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast selection was decent, but the cooked items could be improved. I enjoyed the continental options and they were quite nice.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities felt outdated, and while there was an Olympic-sized bed in my room, the overall setup was cramped and not very functional.

My experience at Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens was quite a roller coaster. The hotel staff were friendly, and I appreciated their help resolving booking issues, but a few things fell through the cracks. The location is stellar, especially for events at the MCG, but there were some frustrating moments with service and room preparation.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and tidy, although a bit small for my taste. I had a comfortable bed and a nice outlook towards Fitzroy Gardens, but one room wasn't made up during my stay.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and tried to assist me when problems arose. However, the service could be a bit inconsistent, especially with booking my son's shuttle. I had to remind them multiple times.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic for accessing Rod Laver Arena and other attractions. It felt close enough for sightseeing, which made it convenient for our trip.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered a good spread with plenty of options, but I found it a bit expensive for what was available. A more competitive pricing strategy would be appreciated.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like housekeeping were hit or miss based on my experience, but overall, I appreciated the comfortable atmosphere. The hotel might be a bit understaffed, affecting some services.

I recently spent two nights at Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens, and overall, it was a solid stay. The location on Spring Street is fantastic, just a quick walk to the city center, and the staff treated me well. My only issues were the tiny bathroom and the stains on the carpet, but I’d still consider staying here again, especially for the price.

Rooms
7.0
The room was quite spacious and comfortable, with a nice view of the gardens. However, the bathroom was extremely small.
Service
8.0
The staff were courteous and helpful, making sure I was comfortable and even helping with some local bookings.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s location was perfect, close to Parliament House and a short tram ride to all the best spots in the CBD.
Dining
6.0
While I opted to eat out for breakfast, the dining options looked decent, and I had dinner in the restaurant where the service was good even if the menu was a bit ordinary.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were sufficient for my needs, including a nice bar downstairs for a nightcap and reasonable parking rates.
